To say I was looking forward to trying this cigar is an understatement. I was discussing availability of this cigar with @OlivaIan and generally bitching about it being the perfect size for me but not being able to get my hands on it when he generously offered to send some my way.  This size is a limited release, some released in a sampler for Outlaw cigar, some were released for TAA and there was a European exclusive for a bit.  The word is these will continue to be limited but will become a wider release at IPCPR 2011.

Oliva Serie V

To say I’m bummed about today’s post would be an understatement.  We have reached the last post of favorites month and I’d saved the best for last or so I thought.  While I have smoked countless boxes of today’s cigar as you see I was reminded that they are a handmade product and sometimes even a favorite can let you down.  For this post I used two cigars which I rarely do but in this case I couldn’t help myself, I was outside photographing one and thinking I had another in the humidor I toasted it up.  When it came time to shoot the photos of the cigar smoking I realized I was out and stopped by the closest cigar shop and procured a replacement.  As you see in the photos I didn’t smoke this cigar down to the nub due to the struggle I had with tunneling and a generally horrible smoking experience.  Given the numbers of these that I’ve smoked I don’t feel it was representative of how this cigar typically smokes and it is still one of my favorites.  A little tidbit you may or may not notice we have metadata!  Due to requests I have added the exif info to all of the pictures, though every setting my camera has isn’t listed if you would like to know more about any particular photo just ask and i’ll do my best.  Once again to all of my visitors and yes I mean all (even the folks finding my by way of googling for some forms of pornography I was unaware existed) thank you for your support.
