I just wanted to take this spot to say thanks to @MCCBarry and everyone at Miami Cigar and Company for sending this cigar my way.  For the most part I don’t review cigars I just enjoy them and take pictures.  I wanted to note that when I smoked this cigar it just fired on all cylinders for me and was one of the best cigars I’ve had in a while.  — The fact that MCC sent these to me didn’t prompt me to let you know how it was I just enjoyed this cigar a lot.

False Starts 1

This week I’m trying something new, every so often either I start a shoot and don’t finish or something else happens to prevent me from completing it.  This leaves me with with orphaned photos so I’m putting them in a segment called “False Starts”.  Enjoy the look at some photos I took before the start of the site and others that didn’t make it due to being orphaned.

La Aurora Gran 107

Posted in Cigars, My Pics with tags , , , , , , , , on March 2, 2011 by matt

Info
Cigar: La Aurora Gran 107
Size: 7×58
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Sun Grown
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Dominican Republic, Nicaragua
Strength: Medium
For Sale: Bonita Smoke Shop

I asked Jason Wood about the backstory on the La Aurora Gran 107 and he informed me we have this size thanks to the rollers own personal preferences.

The last time I was in the DR I
saw most of the rollers smoking this monster of a cigar and I asked one
of the guys what is was and he gave me one to try. I asked Guillermo why
not release this cigar to the public? After many debates back and forth,
the cigar was born. — Jason Wood

I’d like to take a moment to personally thank the rollers as well as the crew from La Aurora and Miami Cigar for bringing this to fruition as I enjoyed this cigar. Make sure when you try it to let Guillermo Leon, Jose Blanco, and Jason Wood know your thoughts.
