Oliva Serie V

To say I’m bummed about today’s post would be an understatement.  We have reached the last post of favorites month and I’d saved the best for last or so I thought.  While I have smoked countless boxes of today’s cigar as you see I was reminded that they are a handmade product and sometimes even a favorite can let you down.  For this post I used two cigars which I rarely do but in this case I couldn’t help myself, I was outside photographing one and thinking I had another in the humidor I toasted it up.  When it came time to shoot the photos of the cigar smoking I realized I was out and stopped by the closest cigar shop and procured a replacement.  As you see in the photos I didn’t smoke this cigar down to the nub due to the struggle I had with tunneling and a generally horrible smoking experience.  Given the numbers of these that I’ve smoked I don’t feel it was representative of how this cigar typically smokes and it is still one of my favorites.  A little tidbit you may or may not notice we have metadata!  Due to requests I have added the exif info to all of the pictures, though every setting my camera has isn’t listed if you would like to know more about any particular photo just ask and i’ll do my best.  Once again to all of my visitors and yes I mean all (even the folks finding my by way of googling for some forms of pornography I was unaware existed) thank you for your support.

  1. Matt great pics again my friend especially the fourth one with shadow love it.

    • Thanks for the support Mike! That picture was taken back in January before I’d even started the site I’ve been taking pics for a while glad to bring it to light.

  2. Thanks for the great pictures and continued support Matt! Sorry about the issue you had with it, let me know if you experience this again so I can get some replacements out to you.

    • Not a problem, I’m not sure I can even recall another instance of these going south on me, in most cases poor performance has to do with poor storage. I don’t buy from this shop often and this just reminds me why I don’t.
